May 26, 2020: Reopening Information
We are currently working on our reopening plans, but we do not have a tentative opening date at this time. We are getting ready to welcome you back to our patio soon, but we want to be sure we can reopen as safely as possible following the recommended local and federal guidelines.
The garden center is still busy, and in order to reduce risk to both our customers and employees, we will not allow any on-site consumption for just a little longer. Thank you SO MUCH for your patience and support these past few months!
You can still buy our beer and spirits to-go, but at this time you cannot enjoy a beer/cocktail in our establishment yet. In the meantime, please visit your local restaurants that have safely reopened and enjoy a High Hops beer or cocktail made with The Heart Distillery’s spirits to help support your restaurants (this helps support us, too)!
Additionally, our hours of operation are changing for all 3 businesses.
Updated Business Hours:
We’re eager to welcome you back, so please check back with us in the coming days/weeks! We’ll be posting our opening updates here and on our social media pages and newsletters. Thank you!
May 5, 2020
At this time, we will no longer be offering local deliveries. We will still be offering online ordering and pick-up during our pick-up hours. Thank you for your understanding! Please note, we are still requiring the use of a mask/bandana when you come inside our stores.
Pick Up Hours:
Monday – Saturday: 10:00am to 6:00pm
Sunday: 10:00 am to 5:00pm
April 29, 2020
Due to high foot traffic, The Windsor Gardener will be doing curbside pick up only on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The rest of the week remains the same from the previous update.
Please note: On busy days, you may be asked to wait outside the store until current customers are done shopping. This will be enforced to ensure that our guests can keep a safe distance from one another.
April 21, 2020
Starting April 22, 2020, all 3 businesses will be open 7 days a week!
Monday-Saturdays open 10am to 6pm
Sundays open 10am to 5pm
We’re still operating here with social distancing guidelines enforced, and we’ve implemented extra measures to keep our customers and staff members safe, including:
- Sanitizing all carts between customers with bleach water
- Having our staff wear masks
- Installation of Plexiglass barriers at the registers between customers and cashiers
- Sanitizing stations set up
- Markers on floors indicating 6ft of distance
We are requiring customers that wish to shop in the store with us to wear masks.
This is for The Windsor Gardener and High Hops Brewery/The Heart Distillery. If you do not have a mask or face covering, we are selling High Hops triangle bandanas that can be purchased curbside so you can come in, or you can still call in for curbside pickup or local deliveries for all 3 of our stores.
We’re still offering to-go sales of cans and growlers in the High Hops Brewery tasting room and canned cocktails and bottle sales in The Heart DIstillery’s tasting room. We can now deliver spirits so feel free to add some canned cocktails or a bottle to your delivery order! Delivery orders must meet a $20 minimum. We will deliver within 5-miles of High Hops Brewery.
The Windsor Gardener is offering phone orders for local delivery or curbside pickup for all of your Spring gardening needs like seeds, soils, amendments, tools and equipment like gloves, watering cans, etc., and even decor items! Call The Windsor Gardener (970)686-9771 to place your phone order! Delivery orders must meet a $30 minimum. We will deliver within 5-miles of The Windsor Gardener. Over the weekend, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced their urgent recommendations to halt all gatherings of more than 50 people to help increase social distancing and slow the spread of the coronavirus. With a high volume of people coming in and out of our location every day, we have decided to cease all on-site consumption (draft beer pours and handcrafted cocktails) as well as cancel/postpone all upcoming events at High Hops Brewery’s tasting room and The Heart Distillery’s tasting room until further notice. This includes all on-premise events such as tours, live music, comedy, trivia, bingo, food trucks, and any other special events like Tipsy Terrariums.
Our tasting rooms at High Hops Brewery and The Heart Distillery will continue to be open with amended hours for to-go sales only, which will include sales for canned beers, growler fills, spirits bottles, and canned cocktails. This will remain in effect until we receive further guidance from the CDC.
You can find our current tap list of available beers here: https://highhopsbrewery.com/on-tap-now/
Our production team will still be brewing and distilling, and The Windsor Gardener will remain open during regular business hours for your Spring gardening needs.
We thank you for continuing to support your small and family-owned local businesses in these trying times!
Please take care of yourselves and each other.

A Note to our Customers about the Coronavirus
Over the past week, we’ve seen many businesses on both a corporate scale and on a small business scale share their efforts of reducing the spread of the Coronavirus. We’re here to do the same.
Our sincere thoughts are with all of those who have been impacted by the coronavirus. At High Hops Brewery, The Heart Distillery, and The Windsor Gardener, you are our top priority and we’re implementing extra efforts to keep you safe.
Here’s what we’re doing:
- High contact and high traffic areas are being cleaned with an approved disinfectant at least once an hour.
- All empty glassware is being picked up by employees wearing gloves.
- Growlers brought in for filling are being monitored for cleanliness. Per usual, growlers and fill tubes are sanitized with iodine before filling.
- Our team of employees in all three businesses are also taking extra precautionary measures to stay healthy, including regular and thorough hand washing, avoiding contact with people who are sick and, of course, staying home if they are not feeling well. We’ll be providing our employees with updates as they come out from accredited sources like the CDC.
Sanitation is the most important aspect in the production of our beers and spirits, and we want to assure you that we will continue our rigorous sanitation practices on top of implementing the additional sanitation measures recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
There’s no denying the impact COVID-19 has had on our communities. That said, our doors will remain open in all three businesses, and we will continue to host our upcoming events as scheduled. As the situation evolves, we will send out any updates implemented as deemed necessary. We encourage you to please stay home if you’re not feeling well.
Our customers are the heart of our companies and we look forward to welcoming and serving you in the coming weeks. We also sincerely hope you’re able to keep on keepin’ on in these uncertain times. Enjoy your life, enjoy some libations, and get a little dirty in the garden this Spring.
Please take care of yourselves and each other.
